SpringFresh Destination Summer Holiday Racing, Two Ford Focus cars must be won at Tauherenikau!

SpringFresh Destination Summer Holiday Racing is almost at the end of its highly successful third season. Fantastic weather and the promise of a great family day out have seen attendances reach record numbers as locals and holiday makers soak up the relaxed country atmosphere. Over the series, almost 150,000 people will have attended the 29 Destination Summer meetings.

“This year the Summer Six Pack has proven to be a tough one to crack, only one winner on-course has managed to pick the first six over the line and win a Ford Focus”, said Janice Hill, On-Course Marketing and Events Manager for the New Zealand Racing Board.

With the series finale at Tauherenikau on Waitangi Day, the remaining Ford Focus cars must go. If the Summer Six Pack isn’t stuck on-course in full, the cars will be won by the next best results on countback. If there are more than two winning tickets a draw will be made to determine the winners.

“This means that two people on-course at Tauherenikau are guaranteed to win a Ford Focus car and $1000 of Air New Zealand Travel, and possibly a share of the guaranteed $25,000 terminating pool”, Janice said.

“Taking $4 Flutter ticket on Race 6 at Tauherenikau is the easiest way to be into win. At many Destination Summer events a $4 Flutter ticket has claimed the minor prize of $1000 of Air New Zealand travel”.
